His unbeaten knock of 77 runs off 64 balls helped the Giants reach 165 runs for 4 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Aryan Lakra also made a significant contribution, striking three fours and three sixes to score 37 runs off just 18 balls.
The Marvels struggled in their run chase due to the loss of early wickets and an inability to form partnerships. Madhav Manoj Nair top-scored for the Marvels with a cautious 27 runs, but the Giants shone with the ball, as Zeeshan Naseer claimed three wickets, while Muhammad Saghit Khan and Muhammad Zuhaib each took two. The Marvels were bowled out for 109 runs in 17.4 overs.

The Pearls were propelled by Asif Khan’s score of 41 runs, alongside contributions from Rohan Mustafa, Yasir Kaleem, and Shahrukh Ahmed. The Thunderbolts’ Abdul Ghaffar claimed three wickets but also made a late contribution with the bat, scoring 23 runs off 12 balls before being dismissed by Muhammad Shahid Bhutta. Uzair Khan also shone with the ball, taking three wickets, while Matiullah Khan secured two, limiting the Thunderbolts to 144 runs.
In the opening match of the tournament, the ILT20 Marvels defeated the Desert Vipers Development by 17 runs. Batting first, Vishnu Sukumaran and Ahmed Tariq built an early stand of 36 runs after losing both openers. A quickfire knock of 48 runs from Sanchit Sharma, off just 22 balls, helped the Marvels set a competitive total of 138 runs. The Vipers’ response was hampered by strong spells from Muhammad Rohid Khan and Zahoor Khan, who picked up three and two wickets, respectively. Despite Tanish Suri’s fighting 42 runs, the Vipers fell short, finishing at 121 runs for 8 wickets.
