England Cricket team tour the UAE
England have arrived in the UAE for their much anticipated series with Pakistan. Having claimed the Ashes in a successful summer of cricket back home, the England team now face what will be an even tougher test of their credentials against a Pakistan team, who have proved very difficult to beat in their adopted home.
The teams will contest a 3 match test series, 4 match One Day International series and 3 match Twenty20 series, over the course of a seven week period.
When England last played Pakistan in the UAE, they came in to the series ranked as the best team in world cricket but quickly crumbled to a Pakistan team, who used the conditions to their advantage. The England team should be better prepared this time around and will be determined to put things right from the tour in 2011/12.
