Expat Sport appointed as OTA for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, England and Wales
Dubai and UK-based Expat Sport is delighted to confirm their appointment as an Official Travel Agent (OTA) for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, England and Wales. Confirmation of the appointment was received from Sports Travel & Hospitality Group Ltd (STH), who hold the rights to manage the Official Travel and Tours Programme for the Tournament, as a result of Expat Sport’s request for proposal submission in February.

STH Chief Executive Simon Jefford, said, ‘The official travel agents appointed for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 have been selected because of their ability to offer the best possible service for cricket fans wishing to visit England and Wales in 2019. With the huge popularity of cricket around the world we expect the official Travel and Tours packages to be very popular, providing fans with official match tickets and unique experiences while visiting England and Wales.’

An OTA Workshop for all successful appointees was held at Lords Cricket Ground in St John’s Wood, London on the 20th of April. Lords, internationally regarded as the ‘home of cricket’ and named after its founder, Thomas Lord, is owned by the MCC (Marylebone Cricket Club) and is the home of Middlesex County Cricket Club and will host the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, hosted by England and Wales.

Under the terms of the appointment Expat Sport will have an allocation of official tickets to include in their travel packages, for what is the 12th edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup, running from 30th of May to 14th of July 2019. Matches will be played across a geographic spread of eleven grounds, including: Lords, a further 5 major test cricket venues and five first class county cricket grounds.
