Changes: There are three changes from the preliminary England squad. Sussex’s fast bowler Jofra Archer is called up after his debut in the Royal London ODI series against Pakistan. Hampshire’s all rounder off-spinner Liam Dawson return’s following his haul of 18 wickets and batting average of 45 on the run up to the Royal London One-Day Cup final. James Vince, the elegant Hampshire top-order batsman, is also included for his efforts during the Royal London ODI series against Pakistan. Kent’s Joe Denly and Yorkshire’s David Willey miss out on selection, while Alex Hales is excluded for disciplinary reasons.

Changes: Pakistan’s selectors have called up Abid Ali, Faheem Ashraf and Junaid Khan to their final 15-man squad, replacing Asif Ali, Mohammad Amir and Wahab Riaz following a 4-0 one-day series defeat to England. Chairman of selectors Inzamam-ul-Haq confirmed the rationale behind the move, as, “The lack of potency of our frontline bowlers against England meant that a change was needed.”

Changes: South Africa fast bowler Anrich Nortje has been ruled out of the ICC World Cup due to a right thumb fracture suffered during nets practice requiring 6 to eight weeks recovery. All-rounder Chris Morris has been drafted into the squad as a replacement.
